Enrollment FAQs

In order to apply to the AM or PM programs, please first attend one of our Open House events (1/31/26) or schedule a tour of the school. Next, please make sure your child meets the age requirements for the program (AM Class: 3 years old by 12/1/26 | PM Class: 4 years old by 2/1/27). If you have questions about qualifications to join the program, please reach out to membership@broadmoorpreschool.org.

Open enrollment for the 2026-27 school year is from January 31st - March 28th 2026. Applications received during this period will be entered into a lottery if the number of applications received exceeds our enrollment capacity (24 students for AM, 24 students for PM). A lottery will be held at the beginning of April to determine acceptance to the program.
If we do not exceed enrollment capacity by the end of open enrollment (3/28/26), then families will be enrolled on a first come first serve basis in the order in which their applications are received and application fees paid.

The application fee is $50 and due upon receipt of your application. This fee covers the processing of your application information. The enrollment fee is $245 and secures your spot in the program. After acceptance to the program, the enrollment fee is due by April 27th 2026 (for the 2026-27 school year). Both the application and enrollment fees are non-refundable.
*Important note for applications submitted after open enrollment closes (3/28/26): If space remains in the program, applications received after this date will be processed as immediate placements. In these cases, the $50 application fee and $245 enrollment fee are charged at the same time, since submission indicates intent to enroll if a space is available. If you are applying while still considering other programs, we recommend waiting until you are ready to commit before submitting an application after 3/28/26.

You can pay both fees online via Brightwheel. After submitting your application, you will receive an invitation to join Brightwheel and an invoice for the application fee ($50). After acceptance to the program in early April, you will receive another invoice via Brightwheel to pay the enrollment fee ($245). Both fees are non-refundable.
If preferred, you can submit your payment via check (to Broadmoor Preschool, PO Box 3493, San Leandro, CA 94578).

The Membership Commitment Deposit is a refundable check that enrolled families provide to Broadmoor Preschool to confirm their commitment to co-op membership responsibilities. This fee is $450 for AM families and $470 for PM families, and must be submitted via check (to Broadmoor Preschool, PO Box 3493, San Leandro, CA 94578). The Membership check is not cashed and is returned to families at the end of the school year as long as all membership commitments are upheld (participating in workdays, attending Parent Ed evenings, maintenance days, fulfilling committee job responsibilities). The Membership check for enrolled families is due with enrollment paperwork on June 30, 2026.

After you submit an application online, Broadmoor Preschool will add you to Brightwheel and send an email invitation for you to join. Once you join Brightwheel you will be able to update your child's info and contact information, add additional family members, and submit any payments.

All families who apply during the open enrollment period (January 31st - March 28th 2026) will be notified of their enrollment status no later than April 13th 2026. If a lottery is conducted due to high volume of applicants, you will be notified if your child has been accepted into the program or has been placed on a waitlist. Any families applying after March 28th 2026 will be enrolled on a first come first serve basis if there are still spots available, or placed on a waitlist.

Broadmoor Preschool follows all SLUSD immunization requirements for enrolled students according to California's Immunization Requirements for Pre-Kindergarten. The immunizations required are Polio (3 doses), DTaP (4 doses), Hep B (3 doses), Varicella (1 dose), MMR (1 dose), and HiB (1 dose).

Any workday parent or caregiver must complete live scan fingerprinting through the San Leandro Unified School District. The live scan form will be provided during the application process. Workday parents/caregivers must also obtain a negative TB test result from within the past 4 years. All fees associated with completing the live scan and TB test are the responsibility of the enrolling families.
Additional parents/caregivers who will only be attending Parent Ed evenings do not need to complete a live scan or TB test.

Enrollment paperwork for the 2026-27 school year will be due via Brightwheel by June 30th 2026. For any families applying after that date, all paperwork will be due ASAP.
